Happy (late) Valentine’s Day!

Honestly, I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. Perhaps it has something to do with this:

Hahaha! Nah, actually my Valentine’s Day was good this year. A whole bunch of my friends decided to watch The Vow (yes, even our guy friends came along). We had to prebook the seats since there was a lot of us and we didn’t want to get separated between the lovey-dovey couples in the theater :D In the end, we managed to take a whole row.

The movie was okay. I mean, it’s a chick flick so it’s nothing ground-breaking. Based a true story, it’s quite sweet. I love Rachael McAdams :)

But before I went with my friends to watch the movie, I had an errand to run. My friend recently broke up with her boyfriend. Not sure if anyone remembers, but it was this friend, the one with a jerk of a boyfriend. Want to know how he broke up with her? Just started ignoring her completely.  She’s angry that she didn’t break it off herself but she’a naturally also quite sad. She’s been calling me every day and we chat so she doesn’t think about him.

So in an effort to cheer her up, I went to buy a box of roses for her. Gosh, they bump up the prices for Valentine’s day. $90 AUD (roughly the same USD) for just that T_T. And it was somewhat embarrassing purchasing the roses since the florist was swamped with guys and I was like, ‘Nope, nope not being desperate, I’m buying them for a friend!’ Hahaha. I went to her workplace to drop it off, but despite her telling me that she was working, she wasn’t there :( I left it there and told her to pick it up later :)

But after I came home, guess what I saw for me?

It turns out we each brought each other something to surprise each other :)

She had to pass it on to my parents who immediately asked me when I got home if a guy gave it to my friend to give to me *rolls eyes*.

I would ask how everyone’s Valentine’s Day is, but since it’s just a normal day really, how was everyone’s day? :)

    Wow, that’s really sweet! Surprises for each other! The stuffed animal you got there Misaki is really cute.. I wonder how big is that in actual. XD V-Day was my mom’s birthday so the entire family celebrated it as her birthday. I don’t know about my brother XDDD but yeah, I’m single so it’s best for me to celebrate my mom’s birthday instead of going out with a special someone. <3

    Aww that is cute ;D Today was quite fine. I was mostly baking and cooking all day plus other errands like cleaning my room. Just normal stuff.

    Ooooh, I’ve been wanting to see The Vow! I’m a bit of a sucker for chick flicks. I’m going to end up going with some friends though – I don’t want to bore my boyfriend into taking me. :P I really like Rachael McAdams, too. She’s a great actress.

    Aw, that’s cute that you both got each other something! Me and my best friend both got each other a carnation today. We tend to do that most years. :P

    Overall, my day was good. I have a boyfriend, so it was a little more of a unique day than normally, but it was still good. Just filled with lots more candy! Haha

    Aww, that’s sweet that you + your friend went to watch a movie together, I think that’s a great way to spend Valentine’s Day if you don’t have a boyfriend yet :) And it’s really cute how you and your friend somehow ended up exchanging gifts without realizing it, great minds think alike?

    That forever alone image made me laugh way more than it probably should. Valentine’s Day was another day for me as well. Nothing special. Just a Tuesday :P

    Like they say, “Great minds think alike.” So, it’s not surprising that you and your best friend both bought each other Valentine’s gifts. That’s so sweet! Now, I kinda wish my best friend and I did that, too! Though, I’d have to pay for shipping for mine as we live in different states. I wonder how much they’d overcharge me for shipping as well.

    I’m glad you enjoyed The Vow, no matter how chick flick-y it might be :D The promos for The Vow have me a little bit interested in it, but I don’t think I’ll pay to see it. I’m a cheapskate at the moment. I’ll probably wait until it comes out on DVD so I can rent it.

    Ugh, your friend’s boyfriend is terrible -__- Good thing they’re not together anymore! He’s not worth it. What kind of guy doesn’t even make the effort for a proper break up? Good riddance!

    Aww that is adorable that you guys both gave something to each other on Valentine’s Day.

    LOL I really wanted to watch The Vow with my boyfriend. I love forcing him to endure a chick flick movie ;) especially when it came to the Twilight series. I made him watch all of them with me. It’s mean, but it’s too good to pass up an opportunity like this haha xD;;

    But judging from the trailer, I can only expect it to be a typical chick flick movie. It didn’t seem to have much of an irony to it. Hope you had fun though. Happy Belated Valentines by the way! xD

    My Vday sucks actually because my boyfriend suddenly got other plans for the day and I had to tag along since I want to be with him that day. Tsk. It was pretty annoying.

    Glad you had fun that day though. It is nice of you to think of your friend. :)

    Lmao I’ve never heard of Forever Alone day. Is it actually official or are people making things up for fun? Cus there is one like that in Korea I think.

    I haven’t seen The Vow but I do like Rachel McAdams too despite not liking many actors/actresses. I think she’s really sweet lmao no wonder Lindsay lohan said she seems sweeet in Mean girls.

    I remember that friend! Isn’t she dating someone really old? That’s super immature to just ignore her, my gosh. That’s super expensive price for flowers too but I wouldn’t know since I don’t get flowers.

    What she got you was so cute!!!! <3 Parents always expect us to get things from guys thse days … sigh.

    Yup my cousin calls me by my name. Really he doesn't need to call me noona because we're born in the same year. But because I've always been ahead of him in school until now I guess he thought he should.
