Back For Real

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! <3

Oh how ironic was my previous post? Back to blogging? Definitely not. Well I am now going to try. I want to change the direction of my blog slightly – not that it had a direction beforehand – but I want to talk about things that matter to me. That’ll be: pharmacy (unfortunately), web-design, technology…just geeky stuff. Oh and books. Glorious books! I might have touched on those briefly but I never really went into detail because I worried that people won’t be interested. But in turns out that blogging about my life is strangely monotonous because man, am I such a thrill seeker? *cough*.

And a new theme which will be here to stay for a while, hopefully! The previous theme lasted a measly one post before Sky-Song went into hibernation. Hover on the heart, it’s a nifty trick that I’ve learnt 😀 And there’s very mellow, sleep-inducing music that you can play with the music player.

So what has happened in the few months that I have gone?

  • I went to Queensland for a week with my friends

Queensland

It was definitely a fun trip and I practically bathed in sunscreen to prevent myself from tanning 😀 My colouration is not so Vietnamese that I get mistaken as a Filipino or it’s something about my features (my sister likes to attribute it to my big eyes, but I still have no idea). I darken very easily so in lieu with my pharmacy knowledge about the SPF and how much sunscreen is actually required, I armed myself with liters of suncreen.

Above is an image of the place we were staying 🙂

  • I passed 3rd year Pharmacy and am progressing into 4th this year.

HOLY SMOKES I AM OLD!! My last uni year before registration year (intern/graduate year). It’s scary and I have lots of decisions to make. I’m not sure if I want to do my registration year with work because…

  • I’ve gotten a new manager at work – so far I dislike him.

More like I want to punch him. He needs to learn his people skills – you don’t just go up to someone and say ‘you guys are shit, I need to train you more’ (he said that to my friend in front of everyone, and inferred it for the rest of us). He also needs to learn how to smile – he smiles to the customers etc. but then when he turns to talk to the staff members, he seems extremely cold.

  • Purchased a Nexus 7 32GB 3G

Purchased it on Tuesday! 🙂 I’ve been eyeing it for months and kept waiting to see if the price would decrease. Eventually, I just gave up and went what the heck? Might as well splurge once in a while. I’m absolutely loving it so far. I had been deciding between it and the Nexus 10 version but I’m glad I settled for the Nexus 7 – it’s much easier to hold and more portable 🙂

I said this on Twitter, but I lovee the effect! CSS3, I’m assuming? It’s super spiffy!

And I think it’s a great idea to blog about what you want, and how you want. 🙂 People who are interested will come, and you might get new readership from the new content!
I’ve started a new more “personal” blog recently, because I felt very constricted at AisuCafe, always writing content that is of some use to other people, or more filtered and “official.” I think it’s easiest to update and continue when you can write about what you want.

Congrats on the Nexus 7 purchase! My father bought a Nexus 10 a few months ago, and I have a huge issue with it because when the screen is any less than 100% capacity, it makes this really annoying humming noise, but otherwise, it looked really pretty and sleek, and plenty fast.

Good luck with school and work! Nasty people are always gross. 🙁

It’s good to have you back Misaki! I do like your new layout, especially the heart at the top. CSS animations are the thing now aren’t they? I should have some sort of animation too. It reminds me of Valentine’s Day. I also like the music. It makes me want to stay on your page for longer, to listen to the music.

Congrats on making it past your 3rd year of pharmacy school! Also, that’s a nice picture. Is that your friend’s place?

Alright, so I absolutely adore the hover on the logo – and your drop down menu up top… I’m incredibly jealous of how amazing you are at designing. It’s inspiring. Do you have any resource links as to where you’ve learned this stuff? XD

Also, I’m incredibly jealous of your Nexus 7 – I’ve wanted a tablet for AGES, but I decided to settle on a new smartphone.

    Hellooooo! Happy Valentine’s Day 😀

I think my blog has always been about stuff that is important to me, and in a way that was good, because I enjoyed writing about things and documenting life happenings. I wrote in a diary when I was younger so it came to me naturally when I shifted to blogging.

I wouldn’t count themes by the amount of posts they lasted – I like to think the duration they were actually online.

I think I probably told you on Twitter, but lately I’ve been wanting to live in Queensland. Such a pretty state. Someone said to me it floods there too much – alright, but I like the state for other things. I hate tanning, even though I do like the sun in general. I like to be pale (and I’m pretty pale) so I’m always looking to cover up. My Asian heritage is Indonesian-Chinese; I get mistaken for being Filipino but I am sure it’s just my facial features, not so much my skin colour.

Fourth year omggggg!! You can do it. 😀 My boyfriend and best friend are going into their fifth Bachelor years, while I’m studying a Masters. Duration of courses is so bs sometimes…

I hope your new manager warms up a little. Nothing at work is worse than a cold, snooty boss. 🙁

I love the new theme by the way, it’s so simple and the colours make it pop so nicely <3

Happened to visit your blog today!

I do the same thing. I go through a period where I feel really inspired to blog, but then I just don’t do it. I’m sure you can do it though, it does take a bit of work staying on top of things, but I’m sure you can do it. Especially when you’ve got the passion. <3

The theme is pretty. And props to you for not setting the music player on autoplay! :c

Good luck with uni, and congratulations for passing third year! I don't know anything about your course (apart from what comes to mind when I think of pharmacy) but I do wish you well! You'll definitely do fine. 🙂

Sucks about your situation at work. 🙁 I do hope it gets better for you at your workplace.

First of all, welcome back! Second, LOVE your new theme, it’s beautiful, as always 😀 Third, congrats on passing your 3rd year in pharmacy school, hope you rock it in your 4th year as well! Finally, boo to the poopy manager. I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to call your employees a piece of shit, and your friend ought to report that to the HR department -_- Maybe they’ll fire him soon and hire someone nicer?

I will come here to enjoy your hover-effect (I tried to make it beat like a heart, but it didn’t… but it’s still spiffy as all get-out!)

I will come here to listen to that spiffy song!

I will definitely come to read your book posts and I’m interested in what you’ve learned about pharmacy, so that’s another thing I’ll come for, and often! I can’t wait 😀

WELCOME BACK!!!! OMG this new layout is amazing. all the little effects an attention to detail is just amazing!

I live in Queensland and yes, the sun here is not forgiving on the skin. I’ve darkened so much so sunscreen would be a very wise idea!

And congrats on passing 3rd year of pharmacy! it must’ve been tough, good luck for this year!
